How the math works

The break-even is deliberately simple: we take the plan cost and divide it by the value each converting customer is worth to you, customers needed = plan cost ÷ (customer value × conversion rate), rounded up, never below one. That's the number of new customers, orders, or clients a month it would take just to cover the retainer.

The "3× that" figure isn't a projection, it's the internal bar we hold ourselves to when we take on an account. We'd rather show you the target we're aiming at than a number dressed up as a promise.

Every input is yours and editable. The pre-filled conversion rates are common starting points by business type, not claims about your results. Swap in your own numbers and the output updates instantly.

Calculator questions

How does the Reddit ROI calculator work?

You pick your business type, enter the value of a customer and a conversion rate, and choose one of our published plans. The calculator divides the plan cost by the value each converting customer is worth and shows the number needed to break even. Everything runs in your browser using the numbers you enter, nothing is stored.

Is the break-even number a guarantee?

No. It's an illustrative estimate based entirely on the inputs you provide, not a promise of results. Real outcomes depend on your market, your offer, and how well Reddit fits your buyers. The "3×" figure is the internal bar we work toward, not a guaranteed return.

What conversion rate should I use?

We pre-fill a starting rate by business type, roughly 15% for B2B/SaaS, 3% for ecommerce/DTC, and 20% for service businesses, but every field is editable. Use your own historical conversion data if you have it; the pre-filled numbers are only a starting point, not a claim about your results.

Which plan should I pick?

Our published plans are a one-time $1,500 Proof Run, $2,500/mo Growth, and $4,000/mo Scale, plus a custom Enterprise scope. The Proof Run is the lowest-risk way to start. A 30-minute audit maps your subreddits and tells you which tier fits.
